The association Musik Forum Sachrang e.V.
pursues as its primary goal the academic training and further education of young and exceptionally talented musicians and was initially founded in early 2013 as the "Musik Akademie Sachrang" (Sachrang Music Academy). However, the term "academy" is increasingly defined as a profit-oriented, commercial institution, which could potentially preclude recognition as a non-profit organization. Therefore, on April 4, 2014, the association was officially registered as "Musik Forum Sachrang e.V."
The aims and purpose of the association are defined in its statutes.
These primarily include:
- the organization of international masterclasses for various instruments and voice
- individual support through scholarships and grants
- the study of works by old and new masters
- the organization of seminars and workshops
- the creation of performance opportunities for young artists
- and, if necessary, the temporary loan of instruments.
